As expected, the special committee established by the Italian government following the Catania incidents included the Stadio Comunale among those which fulfil the necessary safety requirements, and therefore Torino-Reggina will definitely one of the five matches played in front of the crowd. The remaining five contests should take place behind closed doors, although no official statements have been released yet in this respect.
The committee has also established that the entire round will be played on Sunday afternoon at 3 PM, instead of being divided in two days as usual, because no more matches must take place at night (always for security reasons) until further orders.
In the meanwhile, Toro continue the preparation towards the delicate clash with Reggina: Walter Mazzarri's men, who started the season with a 11-point handicap, currently trail the Granata by six points and are tied with Messina, which would be the first relegated team if the Serie A ended now. The Calabrians collected two wins, a draw and a defeat in the last four matches, including a 2-0 triumph in the latest trip against Cagliari.
Today's session consisted in a training match with a youth team: the final result was 9-2, with goals by Abbruscato and Muzzi (2 apiece), Franceschini, Stellone, Lazetic, Balestri and Oguro. Zaccheroni practically fielded the entire roster, with the exception of the two newcomers Coco and Bovo, who continue to follow a separate program in order to recover a decent shape. The latter could be available on Sunday afternoon, but Zaccheroni will likely make the final decision only after Saturday's session.
