Toro continued their preparation in view of next Sunday's match against Milan with the usual midweek friendly, this time against local team Caselle (where the Turin airport is situated).
The Granata won 8-0, but the most important indication came from the starting eleven Zaccheroni chose for the first half: in fact, the Granata coach fielded Diaw Doudou alongside Cioffi and Franceschini, and this probably means that Senegalese defender is the main candidate to replace suspended Marco Di Loreto in San Siro.
In the first part the Granata played with Taibi, Doudou, Cioffi, Franceschini, Comotto, Barone, Gallo, Music, Rosina, Muzzi and Abbruscato; the lone goal was scored precisely by Doudou, but Rosina looked very inspired and the Granata missed a few good opportunities.
The starting lineup of the second part was as follows: Fontana, Orfei, Melara, Martinelli, De Ascentis, Music (De Sousa), Fiore, Balestri, Oguro, Lazetic and Konan. The goals were scored by Oguro (3), De Sousa and Lazetic (2 apiece).
Brevi, Ardito and Stellone were rested, but only the veteran defender seems to be doubtful for the San Siro match. As usual, president Cairo attended the match by sitting on the bench alongside Zaccheroni.
