Usual Monday of rest for Toro: the Granata will resume training tomorrow afternoon at the Centro Sisport, where they will start preparing next Sunday's difficult trip in Palermo to face the league co-leaders.
Despite the home draw, President Urbano Cairo was satisfied with the team's performance against Messina. "We played a good match" he said, "Stellone was great and the defence erased the Serie A topscorer. We created a lot of chances, hit the post twice, but we didn't win: however, we must go on like this and the results will come. Toro is improving match after match, and today the offensive play finally worked as well: we just miss a bit of luck, Messina scored an incredible goal. But we're almost there"
On his part, coach Alberto Zaccheroni couldn't hide his disappointment: "I'm not happy with the result, because Toro always play for the three points. We did everything we could, playing with the right determination and creating good opportunities, but we didn't manage to score and once again we were forced to trail our opponents. With two more points we would be in the middle of the table, unfortunately we still pay our bad start with just two points collected in the first five matches. Anyway I'm satisfied with Toro's performance, it was another step forward in terms of solidity and personality".
