"Torino defeated 8-0 local team Borgaro (7th italian division) in the usual midweek friendly. It was a good training match for the Granata, who scored 4 goals per half and showed to be in a good shape, although the opponent was obviously much weaker and didn't represent much of a threat. Still, a few weeks ago the team struggled also in this kind of matches, so this outing can be taken as a positive indication at least in terms of attitude and concentration.
"In the first half Zaccheroni (who decided to rest Stellone) fielded this lineup: Taibi; Pancaro, Franceschini, Cioffi, Melara; Rosina, Ardito, Gallo, Fiore; Muzzi, Abbruscato. The goals were scored by Abbruscato, Muzzi (2) and Rosina. In the second part, Toro played with this starting eleven: Taibi; Brevi, Cioffi, Balestri, Martinelli; Ardito, Lazetic, Oguro, Ferrarese; Konan, Abbruscato. In the last 25 minutes, Orfei and Music replaced Cioffi and Abbruscato. The goals came from Ferrarese and Oguro (2 apiece).
"Good news, at least on paper, came also from the Italian Federation. In fact, Toro's next away match won't be played in Catania: following the incidents that took place before last Saturday's Sicily derby between Catania and Messina, judge Giampaolo Tosel suspended the Etnei's home ground for two rounds, and to make things worse for Marino's team those matches will be played without fans. A decision on which will be the new venue should be made in the upcoming weeks, however it's likely that another Sicilian city will be chosen.
