Toro defeated 5-1 local team Chisola in the usual midweek friendly with goals by Abbruscato, Lazetic, Ferrrarese and Oguro (2). It wasn't exactly a brilliant performance by the Granata, who played a bad first half (only 1-0) and improved a bit only in the second part.

Zaccheroni fielded this starting eleven: Taibi; Franceschini, Cioffi, Brevi; Balestri, Ardito, Gallo, Music; Fiore, Muzzi, Abbruscato. The Toro coach rested Stellone, Comotto, Rosina, Orfei and Di Loreto, as well as Barone who played with Italy yesterday evening against Turkey. Abbruscato scored after 18 minutes, but the Granata's performance in the first half was pretty poor: Toro showed the usual slowness and predictability even against a modest amateur team like Chisola.

President Cairo attended the match, and after the final whistle he answered a few questions about Toro's difficult moment. "There's not much to say about yesterday's protest", he said. "It happened last season as well, and by watching the following results I'd say that it had a positive effect. The fans are disappointed and I understand them, hopefully next Sunday we'll make them happy with a victory. The retreat? I'd leave tomorrow, but the decision is up to Zaccheroni".
